The title of my blog "Close enough for Jazz" comes from a commonly used phrase amongst musicians. It is used to describe an effort that meets the bare minimum to be acceptable. (Similar to "Close enough for government work", although while the jazz version implies a laid back attitude, government work implies a blatant lack of dedication.)
Usage:
"Hey man, did you tune?"
"yeah, close enough for jazz."
